I am motivated by the deep connection people have with each other and the world. Through my work, I hope to emphasize how big of an impact the little things can have.

I am currently based in Los Angeles, pursuing a double major in Psychology and Economics at UCLA.
The poster's purpose is to highlight one of the most stunning scenes in the movie. It was very memorable for me, and even though it doesn't encompass the plot of the movie, it's a pivotal moment for the characters.

I really enjoyed playing around with effects and text styles for this poster. It took less time than the other ones, but I feel I am getting a grasp of what looks good on a poster.
This movie showed the devastating realities and effects of war. I hoped to capture the despair and hopelessness of the film indirectly. The marbles symbolize the end of the road, where Setsuko could only rely on the thought of food to sustain herself.

I didn't want the poster to only reflect the negative aspects of the film, as the siblings were able to find happiness in the small things. The candy box and the fireflies show the glimmers of hope amidst darkness.
I watched Spirited Away when I was very young, and since then, I've watched it countless more times. I wanted to capture the wistfulness of being swept away through this poster. I loved watching Chihiro bond with different characters, and it's precisely those deep connections she forms with them that makes me enjoy the movie so much.
This has been and always will be my comfort movie.
